Can I use my old battery charger for lithium batteries?

There are two methods for charging a lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery: using a battery charger (mains power) or using a solar panel (DC power). The most ideal way to charge a LiFePO4 battery is with a lithium iron phosphate battery charger, as it will be programmed with the appropriate voltage limits. Some lead-acid battery chargers will also work, but we recommened a lithium battery charger with a lithium charging profile.
